James Cormack, Seaman, Pulteneytown and Margaret Green, daughter of Walter Green, Pulteneytown were matrimonially contracted on this 25^th day of December and married by the Reverend Andrew Key on the 31^st day of December AD 1851 in the presence of John Green and Donald Bain, parishioners.

 

James Green in Pulteneytown had by his wife Isobel Hay, a daughter baptised and named Elizabeth. Witness, Walter Green.

 

Walter Green in Pulteneytown was matrimonially contracted to Margaret Sutherland there. Witnesses, James Green and John Sutherland both there. 7^th January 1815.

 

William Cormack in Knockdry was matrimonially contracted to Charlotte Jack in Louisburgh. Witnesses, James Cormack in Wick and John … in Louisburgh 18^th February 1815.

 

William Cormack in Knockdry had by his wife Charlotte Jack a son born 11^th and baptised 17^th April and named James. The witnesses were James Cormack, Inch and Elizabeth Doull there. 1817.

 

William Cormack, Farm Servant at Hillhead had by his wife Charlotte Jack a son born 1^st, baptised 29^th October 1819 and named Malcolm. Witnesses, Donald Sutherland in Wick and Alexander Gunn, Cooper in Staxigoe.

 

Walter Green in Pulteneytown had by his wife Margaret Sutherland a daughter born February 11^th and baptised February 24^th named Helen. Witnesses, James Green and Isobel Caglon in Pulteneytown.

 

William Steven in Wick was matrimonially contracted to Elizabeth Craig in this parish. 23^rd April, 1787.

 

James Cormack in Clyth in the parish of Latheron was matrimonially contracted to Margaret Doull in this parish. Cautioners, for the man, James Cormac in Heinster and for the woman James Doull in Foss. 24^th March 1780.

William Cormack, Farmer (married) – died 22^nd October 1858 (9.00pm) at Stirkoke, Parish of Wick aged 75 years. Son of James Cormack  - Farmer (deceased) and Margaret Doull (deceased). Cause of Death: Chronic Nephritis – 4 months. As certified by William Smellie, physician and Surgeon who saw deceased on 21^st October. Buried in the Churchyard at Wick as certified by James Cormack, joiner. Informant: James Cormack, son.

 

Walter Green, Fish-curer (married) – died 20^th February 1860 (1.30am) at Bank Row, Pulteneytown, Wick aged 75 years. Son of James Green  - Farmer (deceased) and Ellen Geddes (deceased). Cause of Death: Apoplexy – 2 weeks. As certified by John Smith, Surgeon who saw deceased on 19^th February. Buried in the Churchyard at Wick as certified by Alexander Bain, House Carpenter. Informant: Donald Bain, son in law – Bank Row, Pulteneytown, Wick.

 

Charlotte Cormack, widow of William Cormack - Farmer, – died 15^th February 1860 (5.00am) at Louisburgh, Wick aged 78 years. Daughter of Alexander Jack  - Farmer (deceased) and Elizabeth Harrold (deceased). Cause of Death: Hypertrophy of the heart – many months. As certified by E.J. Sinclair, Physician and Surgeon who saw deceased on 19^th February. Informant: James Cormack, son.

 

James Cormack, Ship Owner & Captain (married) – died 28^th October 1869 (10.45am) at Royal Edinburgh Asylum, Edinburgh aged 46 years. Margaret Rae, widow of David Rae - Fish-curer – died 19^th October 1880 (3.00pm) at Staxigoe, parish of Wick aged 67 years. Daughter of Alexander Hossack – Seaman, Merchant Service (deceased) and Margaret MacKay (deceased). Cause of Death: Chronic rheumatism – 10 months. As certified by Alexander Alexander. Margaret Bain, widow of John Bain - Fish-curer – died 18^th September 1886 (3.00pm) at 24 Bank Row Pulteneytown aged 93 years. Daughter of William Steven - Farmer (deceased) and Elizabeth Craig (deceased). Cause of Death: Senile debiltiy. As certified by George Banks, physician. Informant: William Bain, son.

 

Elizabeth Bain, married to William Bain - Fish-curer – died 11^th June 1896 (4.30am) at Port Dunbar, Wick aged 60 years. Daughter of David Rae - Fisherman (deceased) and Margaret Hosack (deceased). William Bain  - Fish-curer, widower of Elizabeth Reid Rae – died 17^th January 1908 (5.40pm) at Port Dunbar House, Wick aged 80 years.
