Bond by Walter Green to his sister, Margaret Green or Cormack at Edinburgh, 16 May, 1877 between the hours of 10 and 11 forenoon the bond and disposition in security underwritten with warrant of registration thereon was presented by R. Main, Writer, Edinburgh and is with said warrant of registration recorded as follows viz; "I Walter Green, Boatbuilder presently residing at no. 9 Canon Street, Leith, son of the deceased Walter Green, Boatbuilder and fishcurer in Pulteneytown grant me to have instantly borrowed and received from my sister, Mrs Margaret Green or Cormack presently residing at no. 2 Caledonian Terrace, Haymarket, Edinburgh, widow of the deceased James Cormack, shipmaster, Pulteneytown the sum of £20.00 …..
Witnesses: Walter Green, grocer, residing at no. 2 Caledonian Terrace, Edinburgh and George McKenzie, shipwright, residing at no. 1 King Street, Leith, Walter Cormack.

Disposition by Anne Green to Walter Green Cormack of Edinburgh 6 March 1885 between the hours of 10 and 11 forenoon the disposition in security underwritten with warrant of registration thereon was presented by A.M. Duncanson, Writer, Edinburgh and is with said warrant of registration recorded as follows. "I Miss Anne Green, residing in Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, daughter of James Green sometime residing at Snowy River diggings, colony of Victoria, now deceased and granddaughter of the deceased Walter Green, boat carpenter and fishcurer in Pulteneytown. Considering that my grandfather, the said Walter Green, was at the time of his death on 10 February 1860 infeft in all and whole of that lot of ground in Pulteneytown in the Parish of Wick, County of Caithness, unmarked lot 24 in the links of Pulteneytown upon the plan of the said town by Thomas Telford and signed by him as relative to the feu charter in this town bounded in the east by lot 28, on the north by bank Row, in the south by Saltoun Street and in the west by Bank Row and Saltoun Street being the subjects and others contained in an instrument of sasine in favour of the said Walter Green recorded in the particular Register of sasine for the county of Caithness, 27 December 1831 following the said feu charter with the whole houses and other erections thereon and with the whole privilege and pertinents thereto belonging.
Considering further that the said deceased Walter Green by his disposition and settlement dated 7 May 1858, an abstract whereof is recorded in the Register of Sasines for the county of Caithness, on behalf of the said James Green and others on December 1 1860.
And considering that my father the said James Green died 13 November 1869 at Queenstown, Australia and that I was his only surviving child and heir and am now heritor proprietor the all and whole said subjects…
The said Walter Green Cormack and his foresaid shall have full power and authority to make up titles in my name.

Disposition by Robert Smith, Wares, Leith to James Cormack at Edinburgh 19 September 1893 between the hours of 10 and 11 forenoon the disposition underwritten with warrant of registration thereon was presented for registration by Donald Stewart, and is with said warrant of registration recorded as follows. "I Robert Smith, Wares, Leith, solicitor, Wick heriable proprietor of the of the subjects and others disponed….
Alexander Sutherland, solicitor, supreme court, Wick … having declared that he made an offer on behalf of James Cormack, 2 Madeira Place, Leith. The said James Cormack was by the judge of the roup preferred to the purchase of the price of £2,325 for the property and superiority of all and whole that tenement of land in the Royal Burgh of Wick and County of Caithness, the greater part of which was the property of Benjamin Calder and which was sometimes occupied by James Nicol as part of the Caledonian Hotel...

Disposition by Margaret Cameron or Cormack to Walter Green Cormack at Edinburgh 25 September 1901 presented by Thomas Dalgliesh between the hours of 10 and 11 forenoon the disposition underwritten with warrant of registration thereon was presented for registration by Donald Stewart, and is with said warrant of registration recorded as follows. "I Margaret Cameron or Cormack presently residing at Warrender Park Road, Edinburgh, widow of the deceased James Cormack, shipbuilder, Pultenytown was at the time of his death on February 20th 1860 was infeft in all and whole of that lot of ground in Pulteneytown in the parish of Wick, County of Caithness, marked lot no. 24 in the links of Pultenytown upon the plan of the said town by Thomas Telford and signed by him as relative to the feu charter in this town bounded in the east by lot 28, on the north by bank Row, in the south by Saltoun Street and in the west by Bank Row and Saltoun Street being the subjects and others contained in an instrument of sasine in favour of the said Walter Green recorded in the particular Register of sasine for the county of Caithness, 27 December 1831 following the said feu charter with the whole houses and other erections thereon and with the whole privilege and pertinents thereto belonging.

Assignation by Walter Green Cormack to Margaret Bain or Cormack, 3 December 1906.
I, Walter Green Cormack, sometime vintner, High Street and presently at Kirkhill House, Wick, in consideration of the sum of £300, now paid to me by Mrs Margaret Bain or Cormack, widow, Caledonian Hotel, Wick to hereby sign and dispone to and in favour of the said Mrs Margaret Bain or Cormack and her executors and assignees a bond in disposition in security dated March 9th 1895 and recorded as after-mentioned for the sum of £300, granted by Hotel Keeper, Bridge Street, Wick, now deceased, in my favour with interest from the term of Martinmas 1906 and also all and whole that tenement of land in the Royal Burgh of Wick and County of Caithness, the greater part of which was the property of Benjamin Calder and which was sometimes occupied by James Nicol as part of the Caledonian Hotel, thereafter occupied by William Stewart and thereafter occupied by the said James Cormack.

Assignation by John Bain to James Donaldson at Edinburgh September 3rd 1913. I, John Bain, Hotelkeeper, Stromness, heir at law of the deceased John Bain, Fishercurer, Black Row, Wick, and we the North of Scotland Town and Country Bank Ltd lease with the consent and concurrence of me the said John Bain, Hotelkeeper and of Mrs Margaret bain or Cormack, widow of James Cormack, Hotelkeeper, Wick; Mrs Elizabeth Steven Bain or Sutherland, widow of Hector Sutherland, solicitor, Wick and Mrs Ina Bain or MacFarlane, widow of Frederick William MacFarlane, telegraph engineer, Dublin, all children of the deceased William Bain, Fishcurer, Port Dunbar, Wick.

James Cormack, Hotelkeeper, Caledonian Hotel, Wick, died 23 April 1906 at Wick. Intestate. Confirmation granted at Wick 31 August to Margaret Bain or Cormack. Value of estate £621.6s.10p
At Wick August 3rd 1906, in the presence of James Campbell esq. Sheriff Clerk, Wick appeared Mrs Margaret Bain or Cormack, Caledonian Hotel, Bridge Street, Wick, widow of the late James Cormack, Hotelkeeper there who being solemnly sworn and examined; depones: that the said James Cormack died at Wick upon the 22nd day of April 1906 domiciled in the County of Caithness in Scotland that the deponent is the executrix dative qua relict of the said James Cormack conform to decree in her favour by the sheriff of Caithness at Wick, dated 18th May 1906. That the deponent has entered or is about to enter upon the possession and management of the deceased estate as executrix aforesaid. That the deponent does not know of any testamentary settlement or writing relative to the disposal of the deceased personal or moveable estate or effects or any part thereof. That the foregoing inventory, signed by the deponent and the said sheriff clerk is a full and complete inventory of the personal and moveable estate or effects of the said deceased whosoever situated and belonging or due to him beneficially at the time of his death in so far as the same has come to the deponent's knowledge. That the amount of estate duty (and interest thereon)payable on this inventory and particularly shown in the statement for estate duty and summarily annexed hereto is paid to the commissioners of inland revenue conform to the receipt upon page one hereof. That conformation of the personal and moveable estate in Scotland amounting to the value of £621:6:10 is required or which is truth as the deponed shall answer to God. At Wick 13th August 1906, Presented by Hector Sutherland, solicitor, Wick. Inventory of the personal and moveable estate, and effects wheresoever situated, of the late James Cormack, Hotelkeeper, Caledonian Hotel, Wick, who died at Wick on the 23rd day of April 1906.
